About Adirondack Pallet
Built on Hard Work. Rooted in Family. Driven by Demand.
Tucked away in the northernmost corner of Rouses Point, New York, Adirondack Pallet is a family-owned and operated business with deep roots and a clear mission: to deliver high-quality, custom wooden pallets that meet the demands of modern shipping—on time, every time.
What began in a garage with a single pickup truck and one handcrafted pallet every 90 seconds has grown into a multi-location operation with over 45,000 square feet of production and storage space. Today, Adirondack Pallet uses advanced automated machinery capable of producing 20 pallets per minute, while still keeping the personal, customer-first approach that got us here.
A True Family Business.
Adirondack Pallet is proudly led by Founder and President Patrick Sample. The company is deeply rooted in family values, with Patrick’s son, Chase Sample—an alumnus of Albany College of Pharmacy—serving as Vice President, and his son-in-law, Dehstin Smart, overseeing operations as Operations Manager. Both Chase and Dehstin are actively involved in day-to-day production, reflecting a longstanding tradition of family involvement. This tradition predates the company’s official founding, originating when Patrick’s uncle, a sawmill owner, supplied the lumber for the very first pallets produced.
Built for Modern Shipping Needs.
Pallets—also known as skids—are the backbone of global shipping. Unlike crates and barrels, pallets offer the flexibility and efficiency to move large volumes of goods securely and swiftly. While some pallets are made from plastic or metal, wood remains the most sustainable, cost-effective, and widely used material—and it’s our specialty.
Our facilities feature state-of-the-art Viking and Rayco nailing machines, a dust collection system to protect workers’ health, and a kiln to ensure all pallets meet ISPM 15 international standards, required for shipping goods across borders. Every pallet is tracked and treated to eliminate pests and protect global ecosystems.
Growth Fueled by Reliability.
Thanks to our strong customer relationships and a reputation for delivering “just in time,” Adirondack Pallet has expanded from a small garage to three locations across northern New York. We now operate with:
-
Two dedicated delivery trucks
-
Ten trailers
-
A full-time delivery driver
We source 65% of our lumber from trusted sawmills in the Northeast and Canada, while the remaining 35% comes from timber we own ourselves—allowing us to maintain quality and control over every product we deliver.
Our Commitment.
From custom sizes to urgent same-day requests, our team is here to solve shipping challenges with speed, precision, and care. Patrick puts it best:
“Paychecks come from our customers.”
That mindset drives everything we do—from production to delivery.
Looking Ahead.
As demand grows, so does our vision. We’re expanding into new markets and continuing to build on our reputation as a reliable, responsive, and family-driven pallet supplier.
Whether you need a standard skid or something custom in a hurry, Adirondack Pallet is ready to deliver.
